These terms explain the rules for using the Skillora app and website, including who can use them, how to keep everyone safe and what happens if something goes wrong.

These terms explain the rules for using the Skillora app and website, including who can use them, how to keep everyone safe and what happens if something goes wrong.

1. About these terms

1.1 These terms apply to the Skillora app and website (the Platform), provided by Skillora Sports Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16588747, with its registered office at Collingwood Buildings, 38 Collingwood Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1JF (Skillora, we, us).

1.2 By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

1.3 Who Skillora is for. The Platform is intended for players, parents or guardians, coaches and staff at sports clubs that have agreed to use Skillora (a Partner Club). By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • you (or, for a child, their parent or guardian) are connected to a Partner Club as a player, parent, guardian, coach or member of staff;

  • you are using it in connection with that club's activities; and

  • the information you give us about your club, team and role is accurate.

1.4 If you are not connected to a Partner Club, some features may not be available, and we may remove accounts or teams that are not linked to one. You can delete your account at any time.

1.5 Your club has its own agreement with us, and remains responsible for its own safeguarding policies, welfare officers and statutory duties. Skillora supports those through the Platform's design but does not replace them.

1.6 During this early access period, we may add, change, limit or remove features as we improve the Platform. We'll tell you about significant changes in the app.

2. Accounts, ages and parental consent

2.1 Adults (18 and over) who are coaches, club staff or parents create their own accounts.

2.2 Children under 13 can only use the Platform through an account set up by their parent or guardian. A child's account is not activated until the parent or guardian has given consent in the app.

2.3 Young people aged 13 to 17 also have child accounts, set up and managed by a parent or guardian, so the same parental controls apply.

2.4 If you are a parent or guardian, you accept these terms on behalf of your child, and you are responsible for supervising their use of the Platform. You can view, change or withdraw your consent, and delete your child's account, at any time in Settings.

2.5 We ask for a date of birth to confirm age and apply the right protections. Please give accurate information.

2.6 Keep your login details private. Tell us straight away at support@skillorasports.com if you think someone else has used your account.

2.7 Coaches and club staff confirm they have been authorised by their Partner Club and hold any safeguarding checks the club requires for their role (for example, a PVG or DBS check).

3. Using the Platform safely

3.1 Children can only interact with people in their own team environment. Parents can only see information about their own child. Coaches and staff see only what their role needs.

3.2 You must not:

  • post anything offensive, bullying, hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate;

  • upload or share photos or videos of other children, or anyone's personal contact details or address;

  • share anyone else's sensitive personal information;

  • try to contact a child outside the Platform's permitted features, or ask a child to move to another app;

  • pretend to be someone else, or use another person's account;

  • try to access parts of the Platform or data you are not allowed to see, or interfere with how it works; or

  • copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Platform.

3.3 Reporting. Most messages and shared content can be reported, and adults can block other users in chat. You can also contact us at support@skillorasports.com.

3.4 Safeguarding concerns. Where a report or activity on the Platform raises a safeguarding concern, we may share it with your Partner Club's designated safeguarding lead. We do not investigate or decide safeguarding matters; that is the club's responsibility. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

3.5 We may filter, hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, to keep users safe.

4. AI features and wellbeing

4.1 AI features. Coaches can generate training session plans using AI provided by our service providers. Only the coach's session settings, the team's age group and the coach's own notes are sent. Coaches must not type players' names or personal details into AI notes.

4.2 AI-generated content can be wrong or unsuitable. Please report anything that seems inappropriate. AI suggestions are not instructions: a coach, parent or player should always use their own judgement, especially about physical training.

4.3 Wellbeing check-ins. Players can share how they are feeling. Journal entries and moods are private to the player. A coach only sees the mood a player picks when the player opens a coaching moment.

4.4 Skillora is not a medical, psychological or clinical service. Nothing on the Platform is a diagnosis, treatment or professional advice. Coach notes about injuries or availability are observations for team planning only. If you are worried about a child's physical or mental health, speak to a GP or health professional. In an emergency, call 999.

4.5 We do not monitor check-ins in real time and cannot guarantee a response to them.

5. Content, ownership and ending access

5.1 Your content. You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store and display it on the Platform to the people it is meant for, so the Platform can work.

5.2 Our Platform. All software, designs, content, badges, avatars and AI models on the Platform belong to Skillora or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose while you have access.

5.3 Rewards. Badges and other in-app rewards have no cash value and cannot be sold or exchanged outside the Platform.

5.4 Confidentiality. Please don't share screenshots or details of unreleased features publicly without our permission.

5.5 Feedback. If you give us feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve the Platform without paying you. We only use feedback in anonymised form.

5.6 Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We'll tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. If you keep using the Platform after that, the new terms apply.

5.7 Suspension and ending access. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your Partner Club stops using Skillora, or if we need to for safety or legal reasons. You can stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time in Settings or at www.skillorasports.com/support.

5.8 When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymise personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Liability, law and contact

6.1 The Platform is free to use during this early access period. We work hard to keep it available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

6.2 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

6.3 Subject to 6.2, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for the acts of Partner Clubs, coaches or other users.

6.4 Apple and Google. These terms are between you and Skillora, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no responsibility for the Platform or its support. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

6.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
